Tech Prep offers an educational career pathway providing avenues for students to obtain a seamless technical education, beginning in high school, continuing through the Community College System and beyond.

Through the Maine Tech Prep Consortium, the Community Colleges in Maine work in close partnership with consortium high schools, regional technical centers, businesses, industries and communities to prepare students for success in the workplace or at the next higher level of learning.

A Tech Prep student matriculating in an associate degree program will have the following advantages:

    1. The student has the opportunity to receive college credits based upon evaluation of his/her achievement of pre-determined competencies acquired in high schools with formal articulation agreements with NMCC.
    2. The student may receive advanced placement.
    3. The student will not be charged for credits earned via articulation agreements

Interested students should call the Kennebec Valley Community College admissions office at 207 453-5035, the Kennebec Valley Tech Prep Consortium office at 207 453-5165, or their school guidance counselor for more information.
